[No longer posted to China] Free request on the official website
Since 30 October 2025, giffgaff has stopped posting physical SIMs to China. Requesting an eSIM directly in the official app is not affected.
- Pros: it is free;
- Cons: a direct request earns no bonus (unless you use someone's invitation link); it comes by international standard post, which is slow (sometimes two or three months), easily lost, and cannot be tracked;
Notes:
Both the physical giffgaff SIM and the eSIM can be requested directly on the website or in the app, but there is no ยฃ5 bonus unless you request it through an invitation link;
If you need one, you can use my invitation link. After activating with a ยฃ10 top-up you get ยฃ5 of bonus credit, that is, top up ยฃ10 and get ยฃ5.
