What you receive

How to log in after receiving it
- Add two-factor authentication first. Open an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, choose "Enter a setup key" and enter the 2FA key you received. A 6-digit number that changes every 30 seconds appears in the app.
- Open x.com and log in. Enter the username and password.
- Enter the code. When the page asks for a code, enter the 6 digits currently shown in the authenticator.
- After logging in, browse normally for a while first; do not do a lot of things straight away.
What to do after logging in
Once you have the account, change the following to your own step by step over a few days, not all on the same day:
- Change the password to one only you know
- Change the linked email address to one of your own that you use long term
- Set up two-factor authentication again: turn it off and back on to generate a new key
- Fill in the profile: change the picture, display name and bio
Only then does the account truly belong to you, and you avoid losing it later because verification emails cannot reach you.
How to make it last
X is sensitive to unusual logins and bulk actions. These points noticeably lower the chance of the account being restricted:
- Use a stable network and log in from the same region as far as possible; do not switch often
- Do little in the first few days after logging in; do not start with lots of follows, likes or direct messages
- Do not post spam or repeated content
- Keep the account on your own device, and do not share it between several people

Can I get a refund?
Accounts cannot be returned or exchanged without cause once sent. If the first login has problems, contact support promptly.
